Eiffel Tower

After the artist district, we did a quick jump on the bus and drove back to the hotel. On the bus, Mr. Ingram told us we could go up the Eiffel Tower or go for dinner as we couldn’t get group tickets for the tower. We had to stand in a long line and wait for tickets.  I decided the wait was worth it. I was going to go up the Eiffel Tower.

The line didn’t take that long after all, but it was fabulous to just stand under the tower. I did my blog while I was waiting which helped to pass the time 😉 . After we had purchased our tickets,

the 13 of us that went, took the elevator up to the top of the tower. It was kind of scary to watch the ground slowly disappear.

When we finally arrived at the top, it was absolutely magnificent. There was not much room at the top but it made for great pictures! It was like living a dream, standing at the top and looking out over the city of Paris.

I don’t regret going up it at all. It is a once in a lifetime experience. We got a group picture at the top and then started our descent down.

A couple of us decided to take the stairs down. Bad idea! it was really scary and I felt like I was going to fall down them. It took me a long time to get down but Emilio was nice enough to stay with me while I climbed down slowly. But hey, how many people can say they climbed down the stairs in the Eiffel Tower. We have an early wake up tomorrow to leave for Poland. I am very nervous to go to Poland and to Auschwitz.
